These next generation exercise books help schools to standardise their approach to Assessment for Learning (AFL). They have been developed in association with Paul Wright (www.tips4teaching.co.uk) and aim to give teachers a supportive structure to give focused and high quality essential feedback to learners.
In education, there is a much greater focus on assessment being detailed and enabling progress than ever before, and the new type of layout in these exercise books encourages this type of assessment. There is space for pupil reflection as a much sought after progress indicator, and the headings and terms used are recognisable across the UK.
With these books, every pupil knows how they are doing and understands what they need to do to improve; there is a structured and systematic assessment system for making regular, useful and manageable assessment of pupils and tracking their progress; and parents and carers can clearly see how their child is doing and what they need to do to improve.
The inside covers allow space to set multiple targets for each student and chart their progress. The A4 books are available in primary (12mm lines with margin) and secondary formats (8mm lines with margin).
Each of the 50 books has 80 pages for more than enough space to last a full term. Each book also has a yellow cover so it can be easily differentiated between other books in a collection.
