Buffet Crampon are one of the world’s foremost clarinet manufacturers. They produce a wide range of high quality instruments particularly at the top end where their solid wood professional series are extremely well regarded. It is the craftsmanship and design flair at the top of their range which has filtered down and enabled them to make what is still one of the most respected student model clarinets today.

The finest quality construction
The instrument is produced using high quality ABS resin which has been buffed to give the appearance of wood. More than that though this material is thought to give some of the sound characteristics associated with solid wood instruments which enable the progressing student to produce a lovely, rich and resonant tone. On top of that the ABS resin is light, consistent and extremely easy to clean and maintain which makes it perfect for the young beginner.
The instrument also has an adjustable thumb rest – not all student clarinets do and this small feature can make all the difference when it comes to finding a comfortable playing position – and a neck strap ring which enables the younger student to wear a sling which helps support the weight.
Add to this a beautifully regulated nickel plated key work, high quality double fish skin pads and undercut tone holes and you have a nicely balance, free blowing student instrument which has justifiably earned its reputation.
The outfit
The instrument is supplied fully checked and set up by our in-house technician which ensures that the clarinet is ready to play, straight from the case, and is complete with a Buffet Crampon ligature and mouthpiece, cleaning materials and back-pack style case.
