This bookcase has been manufactured to a height that is suitable for nursery aged children to reach, empowering them with the responsibility of finding what they need and tidying up when they are done. The design consists of 2 shelf tiers, including 1 adjustable shelf to help accommodate larger items. This can be fixed securely to the desired height, resulting in greater durability for heavy objects compared to alternatives that simply slide on and off.
This design makes it possible to store not only books, but games, toys and stationery that needs to be accessed just as frequently. The top of the unit is also suitable for storage, or for use as a computer desk if space is scarce and needs to be optimised. The bookcase itself is static for permanent status and safe usage in any environment.
Construction
The unit is constructed using 18mm thick melamine faced chipboard (MFC), a common material in classrooms due to its strength and durability under frequent handling. This is supplemented with a protective laminated finish and 2mm thick ABS edging tape to create a smooth edge and prevent chipping. The durable construction of this product allows us to proudly offer a 25 year guarantee, so your school can use its tight budget wisely. The MFC used in this product is FSC certified.
