With twice the storage space of a regular bookshelf, this double-sided unit is perfect for those with lots of resources, but not enough money or space for multiple bookshelves. With a choice of two gorgeous contemporary finishes, you can stylise any space with this economical and practical classroom essential.
Design
This double-sided unit includes 6 shelf compartments - 3 per side – that are at a fixed height yet generously spaced for large items. Larger items can be stored comfortably on the top shelf due to the absence of a top panel, which not only makes the unit versatile to your storage needs, but reduces cost in comparison to a bookcase. Due to the unit’s height, each shelf is within comfortable reach even for nursery aged children, allowing them to select a book to read of their own accord, and giving them responsibility to tidy things away on their own. Although most commonly used for books, it is also possible to store games, boxes, stationery or other resources that need to be accessed by children, making this unit an adaptable one for ever-changing storage needs.
Thanks to the two-sided design, storage is doubled without having to purchase multiple expensive, space-consuming units, making it perfect for larger classes or schools on a tight budget. Spreading the shelves across two sides also keeps the unit short for children to access, and allows multiple children to find or replace items at the same time to speed things up in a classroom. The unit is mobile with castors to easily store out of the way when not in use. Mobility is especially essential for a double-sided unit that will be stored against a wall in small spaces.

The unit is constructed using 18mm thick melamine faced chipboard (MFC), a common material in classrooms due to its strength and durability under frequent handling.
