These pre-cut cheerful chicks make an ideal Easter/Spring craft project to get kids creative and having fun! Young children will find it easy to fold, construct and decorate the chicks, bringing out their creativity whilst teaching important skills such as 2D and 3D conceptualization.
Each chick has cute 3D wing flaps and a 3D beak, and looks wonderful with little eggs in as a take home gift. There are 30 chicks included for a full class of pupils, as well as simple instructions and ideas for those who need a little inspiration. Size when constructed:
• H: 100mm
• W: 60mm
• D: 60mm
Suitable from 4-11 years.
Instructions:
1. Fold your Chick Box along the dotted lines. Once you have done this lay the box out flat again.
2. Decorate the chick’s body while the box is open and flat:
a) Glue on a bright orange paper beak.
b) Draw bold eyes in black pen on white paper. Cut out and glue into position.
c) Pull the 3D wings and beak tabs out. Allow the chick to dry.
3. Re-fold the box and glue the tabs into position. Allow to dry.
4. Scrunch pastel coloured tissue or use tinsel shred to fill the box ready for carrying a small gift.
