Bring joy to the classroom this Easter with these cheeky chick cards! The perfect springtime craft activity, children will not only get to be creative and have fun with their peers, but also be able to spread that to their loved ones with a personalised message inside.
Children of all ages and abilities can use the chick cards easily, with the freedom to colour, write, stick and fold how they like! Each chick has foldable wings to give the chicks different personalities and poses, although there are plenty of ideas and instructions included for children to be inspired by. There are 30 blank cards per pack to accommodate a full class.
Whether used as a greetings card or seasonal table decoration, these adorable chicks are sure to bring happiness to children and adults alike.
Size when constructed as shown:
• H: 150mm
• W: 170mm
Instructions:
1. Select an Easter chick card and lay it out flat. Fold along the dotted line.
2. Next decorate the face to give the chick a character. Draw large eyes on white paper, cut out and glue into position. For the beak simply cut a triangle of white or yellow paper.
3. Now decorate the body: If you intend to add a message onto the body, either write it on coloured paper or print it out using your IT skills, cut it out and glue into position. Use a few sequins to add sparkle. Or cut some coloured paper into random triangular shapes. Arrange and glue some of the mixed pieces onto the body of the chick creating texture. Or glue some yellow feathers onto the body of the chick adding texture.
The face can be given character by adding glittery cheeks, eyelashes and a hat!
Attitude can be given to the chick by curling the wing around to just under the beak. Glue into position with strong glue - hold for a few minutes to secure.
4. Add feet: Add feet to the base of the card. Simply cut out two paper feet and glue into position.
