This kinderbox is designed with 3 bays to store, categorise and showcase books so children can quickly and easily find something that appeals to them. With clearly separated bays, books can be organised into subject, genre, age range or theme to make it easier for children to discover something new.
Unlike a bookcase, the open design means children can clearly see and be drawn in by each book cover, which is important to stimulate the imagination and encourage an interest in reading. Larger books are also difficult to store on a standard bookcase, particularly at a height that is suited to young children, making a kinderbox extremely convenient for children and adults alike.
Underneath the bays are 3 cubbyholes, perfect for the storage of additional books, toys, games, ornaments or other large items that are difficult to store elsewhere. This combination of storage allows you to create a single convenient hub for leisure activities in a learning environment - and without taking up too much space.
The unit is mobile to easily store out of the way when not in use, with lockable castors for safety at all times.
Construction
This unit is constructed using 18mm thick melamine faced chipboard (MFC); a classroom favourite that assures high-level strength and durability with frequent, heavy use. To complement this is the use of 2mm ABS edges; smooth to the touch, and as attractive as they are protective to both the user and the unit itself. In fact, ABS edges completely eliminate the risk of splinters and scratches to the skin, and protect the MFC against chipping for a full and satisfying lifespan.
