The Stentor Elysia double bass a step-up from the Conservatoire model and is a fully handcrafted instrument. Created from hand selected, solid tonewoods the instrument boasts a solid spruce front with a beautiful flamed maple back. Finished with a lovely inlaid purfling the instument is further enhanced with a hand applied Shellac varnish.
Stentor describe this double bass as one of their 'high-grade orchestral models' and is created in a specialist bass work shop within the stentor factory. The workshop is a traditional luthiers one, with instruments being crafted in time honoured fashion.
Each instrument is supplied as an outfit and comes with a nice quality bow and padded soft case.
