Dating back to the 16th Century, this underrated little instrument will put the 'ding' into any type of music, from classical to rock. Although beaters are included, why not try using a wooden beater, or even a knitting needle? Use your fingers to 'dampen' the sound and shorten the length of the note, and try hitting different parts of the triangle.
