The WriteOn Eco-Friendly Whiteboard is the whiteboard of the future that won’t cost the earth. Constructed almost entirely from recycled materials and with the same look and quality of a standard whiteboard, it is now possible to achieve the rare combination of value and sustainability in the classroom. Defining Eco-Friendly
A variety of factors allow these boards to be considered eco-friendly. Firstly, recycled materials are used to construct the board core and frame, totalling a 71% recycled product by weight. The board core is made from timber and board industry by-products and recycled bulking mass, whereas the frame is made from 100% compressed fibres bound by water-based adhesives and over wrapped with a pre-printed foil.
During the manufacturing process, only non-toxic materials are used, and no Volatile Organic Compounds are involved. Raw materials are also sourced in the UK where the final product is made, reducing mileage during distribution. These factors contribute to a lower carbon footprint than alternatives.
Finally, the packaging is made from 99% recycled cardboard, which itself can be recycled to be used again and again.

Eco-Friendly doesn’t have to be ugly! Each laminated surface drywipe board is encased by a beautiful 35mm contoured frame with a silver finish, making the perfect accompaniment to other monochrome furniture. Although the frame is coloured to replicate aluminium, there are no unsightly polypropylene corners as on standard aluminium framed boards, and its smooth finish brings a much needed sense of style to dull, predictable classrooms.
