• Face 1: Four equal divisions, can be used very effectively with very young children
• Face 2: Ten equal divisions, can be used to extend the activities first covered using the simpler face (1)
• Face 3: One hundred equal divisions, this face is marked in 10 equal sections each of which is graduated into a further 10 sections
• Face 4: Unmarked, can be used to develop pupil's understanding of number and number system, can be written on using a 'dry wipe' pen.
